Abrams Creek Campground
Nestled in a remote corner of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Abrams Creek Campground offers a uniquely tranquil camping experience for those seeking solitude and immersion in nature.
Unlike the larger, more bustling campgrounds within the park, Abrams Creek provides a more intimate setting with fewer campsites, fostering a sense of peace and quiet. The campground is situated alongside the pristine Abrams Creek, renowned for its exceptional trout fishing and picturesque beauty. Towering trees provide ample shade, creating a cool and comfortable atmosphere even during the warmer months.

Access to Abrams Creek Campground involves traveling along a gravel road, adding to its secluded charm and deterring some of the casual visitors. This makes it an ideal destination for experienced campers and those with vehicles suited for unpaved roads. While the campground offers basic amenities such as restrooms and drinking water, it forgoes hookups and showers, encouraging a more rustic and authentic camping experience.
The surrounding area boasts a wealth of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Hiking trails lead to stunning waterfalls, panoramic overlooks, and historic sites, allowing visitors to explore the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Smokies. Abrams Creek itself is a haven for anglers, offering the chance to cast a line in search of wild trout. Wildlife abounds in the area, with opportunities to spot deer, black bears, and a variety of bird species.
Abrams Creek Campground is more than just a place to pitch a tent; it's a gateway to a truly immersive wilderness experience.
