Big Creek Campground
Big Creek Campground is located just off the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway. There are 12 campsites and an accessible vault toilet. There is no potable water or garbage service, so please pack out all garbage and dispose of it at home. The campground provides access into the North Fork John Day Wilderness. There is ample parking for truck and stock trailers at the trailhead. The campground sits at an elevation of 1,700 feet. There are no electric hookups or shower facilities, only running water and bathroom facilities.

Directions: Take I-40 East from Newport, TN approx. 16 miles. Exit I-40 at exit 451 (Waterville). Follow the road past the Walters Power Generating Station to a 4-way intersection. Continue straight through and follow signs to the group camp.
