The Boogertown Gap band specializes in music of the southern mountains, and recently released a new CD entitled “Boogertown Gap: Old-Time Appalachian Music.” The band is composed of Ruth Barber, Keith Watson, and Austin Stovall, and they play a variety of stringed instruments. The band has played in numerous venues around the East Tennessee and western North Carolina region, with the goal of preserving the old-time music of the mountains.
The performances at both Sugarlands Visitor Center and Cosby amphitheater are free to the public. For more information about the performances, please phone the Sugarlands Visitor Center at 865-436-1291.
